Schema Generator

Generate JSON-LD structured data for rich search results

77 visits

Schema Generator builds a JSON-LD structured data block — the format Google and other search engines read to show rich results — by wrapping your chosen schema.org type and data fields in the required @context and @type structure.

JSON: {"type": "Product", "data": { "name": "..." }}

How to use Schema Generator

  1. 1

Choose a schema.org type (Product, Article, FAQPage, etc.).

  2. 2

Enter the data fields relevant to that type.

  3. 3

Click "Generate" to build the JSON-LD.

  4. 4

Paste the result into a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag in your page.

Everything you need to know about schema markup

What is schema markup?

Schema markup (usually written as JSON-LD) is structured data that tells search engines what a page actually *is* — an article, a product, a recipe, an FAQ — in a machine-readable format, which is what makes a search engine eligible to show a rich result (star ratings, an FAQ dropdown, a recipe card) instead of a plain blue link.

When you actually need this

  • Product pages, to potentially show price and rating directly in search results.
  • FAQ sections, to potentially show an expandable Q&A directly in results.
  • Articles and recipes, which have their own dedicated rich-result formats.

Eligible, not guaranteed

Correct schema markup makes a page *eligible* for a rich result — it doesn't guarantee Google will actually show one. It's also important the markup accurately reflects the page's visible content; marking up an FAQ that isn't actually shown on the page violates Google's guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this validate that I've included the right fields for my schema type?

No — it wraps whatever fields you provide in the correct @context/@type JSON-LD structure, but doesn't check against schema.org's full field requirements for each type. Test the output with Google's Rich Results Test before relying on it.

What type does it use if I don't pick one?

WebPage is the default type if none is specified.

Where does this JSON-LD actually go on my page?

Inside a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag, typically in your page's <head> — search engines read it without it affecting anything visible on the page.

Does this tool send my data to a server?

Yes — it's sent to our servers to build the JSON-LD and the result is returned to you; nothing is stored.

Is this tool free to use?

Yes — completely free, with no signup required.
